
Athabasca District Agricultural Society Scholarship
The Athabasca Agricultural Society is proud to support local students who are pursuing post-secondary education in agriculture and ag-related fields. This scholarship is designed to encourage youth who are passionate about agriculture, community involvement, and the future of rural life.
Scholarship amount: $1500
Applications close March 31 of each year.

Eligibility
Applicants must:

Be a graduating student of Edwin Parr School
-
Be enrolled in, or accepted to, a post-secondary program related to agriculture (including but not limited to agriculture, agribusiness, environmental studies, veterinary sciences, ag mechanics, animal science, crop science, or rural development)

Proof of acceptance must be attached.

As part of your application, please submit the following:
Written Submission

Your agricultural background
Share your experience in agriculture (farm involvement, 4-H, ag clubs, rodeo, volunteering, family operations, etc.). -
Your future plans in agriculture
Tell us what you hope to do in the agriculture industry and how your education will support those goals. -
Your connection to Athabasca
Do you plan to return to the Athabasca area after completing your education? Why or why not? -
Your volunteer experience
Describe your involvement in community service, school activities, agricultural organizations, or local events.
