Athabasca Lions Club was founded in April 1971. We are a club with the best interests of Athabasca at heart. Our club began working with the Athabasca Agriculture Society for many years providing a rodeo each year. Times have changed and the Rodeo is no longer part of our yearly operation. We do still have an excellent relationship with Athabasca Agricultural Society. We share a lease ground north of the river with the Aggies using their new training facility. The Lions have created a campground on the lease land which has become very successful.
